Rosary

I took a bunch of pictures of my rosary the other day.
I love my rosary.  My grandpa gave it to me a couple years ago, it's just so lovely and special.
The beads have little pictures of the Holy Family on one side and a little pink rose on the other.

The cross is gold

The centerpiece has a picture of the Holy Family on one side, and a little bit of Holy Water in a little bubble on the other side.

This is the rosary I keep in my purse.  I took it out because the beads are more sparkly, and I got some nice rosary bokeh ;)

Vintage Analise

Yay, new pictures!
I'm using my Dad's netbook so I'm not sure about the colors and stuff.  This thing is tiny and it's hard to edit pictures when they're so small!

Anyway, me and Weazy have decided to go vintage-1950's-"I Love Lucy"-"Secret Sisters"-inspired for our Easter outfits.  We practiced our makeup yesterday, and Weazy dressed up in an old dress that actually went with her makeup really well so we decided to do a photo shoot!
So with these pictures, I'm showing off two things.
  1. My sister's amazing beauty
  2. my awesome makeup applying skills ^_^

Picture of the day (special Marek edition)

I'm back in Wisconsin for a couple days, and you know what that means...!
More pictures of Marek!

I honestly can't get over his adorable cuteness. ^_^

More to come!

A moment of perfect focus

When you take a million pictures of someone, you're bound to get a really good one eventually.  When your subject is squirmy and can't sit still, it's a little harder.  But with patience, a quick auto-focus, and continuous-shot, you might get the perfect picture.
(mind you, I have better pictures of Lina expression-wise, but as far as focus and clarity go, this one takes the cake!)
Just look at her eyes!!  I just about died when I saw this picture.  I didn't realize just how clear it was until I uploaded it to my computer!  All the other pictures I took of her that day were slightly blurry and out-of-focus.  I just got really lucky with this one :)

Lucy

Whenever I take picture that turns out less-than-perfect (like my pictures always turn out perfect! :P), I take it as a challenge to see if I can edit it well enough to make it at least easier to look at.  Sometimes it's just a lost cause (usually because of really bad grainy-ness or horrible exposure), but sometimes I actually win the battle against the bad photograph.

Here's an example (you can tell me if I did a good job or if the "after" picture is just too over-edited):

I chose this picture of my cousin, Lucy, because...well, look at it.  It's way too dark and grainy.  But it's a cute picture of my goofy cousin, so I accepted the challenge ;)

Now here's what it looks like after I attacked it with picnik.com...

What do you think?

Candid party shots

My family got together for a big birthday party on Saturday (we celebrated 7 birthdays at once!) and I took the opportunity to snap some fun candid party shots.  I was in super-stealth-ninja-photographer mode and none of these people even knew I was taking their picture!  ...Okay, most likely ALL of them knew, but they at least pretended they didn't.  My family's awesome. ;)

Sr. Bonnie and Wyatt finding just the right candy to eat.

My dad listening to the annoying Hoops and Yoyo card I bought him.

Boys playing poker.

I title this one "Poker Face"... now the Lady Gaga song is stuck in my head. :P

^I think this picture is epic.

"Project Marek"

Okay, Mom, you asked for it...

I think this is my favorite post so far... ^_^
